Oct 22, 2013 spf=softfail (google.com: domain of transitioning email protected does not designate 64.131.70.223 as permitted sender) email protected If you see Received-SPF: pass in the header then you have nothing to worry about. However, as you can see from above, I have a softfail issue. You may also see some with “fail”.
I've set my mail server to forward all incoming messages from certain user (my_name) to his Gmail account.
Certain sender, sender_name@sender_domain.com sends an email to my_name@my_domain.com
I've set my mail server my_mail_server.com(ip=nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn) to forward all incoming messages to a Gmail account [email protected]
The problem is (despite local times) that the messages are delayed (42-18=24 minutes in this case) to deliver to Gmail inbox I don't know why.
Here's the message header I attached with highlights

When I installed Postfix I enabled the SPF option. Today I setup SPF in my main.cf file as follows:Messages: 907
When I receive an email from a domain that has an SPF record the header says:
But when I send a fake email to test that Postfix/SPF will reject the email I get:
Received-SPF: softfail (mail.domain.com: transitioning domain of gmail.com does not designate xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx as permitted sender) client-ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xx; [email protected]; helo=mail05.domain.org
So how do I tell Postfix/SPF to reject all email that fails an SPF check?
